Black Forest & Wine Tasting in Alsace
This tour combines the best of the Alsace region with the mystic Black Forest area. We will drive to Riquewihr, one of the most picturesque and brightly colored villages of the Alsace Region, and enjoy a stroll through this alluring scenery. Afterwards, you will continue to Colmar for a divine wine tasting and lunch. Both Riquewihr and Colmar are famous for their authentic half-timbered houses in Alsacian style. On top of that, the Father of the Statue of Liberty, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, was born in Colmar. In this area, we find a replica of this world-famous New York-based sculpture. In the afternoon, we continue to the mystic Black Forest, where the Cuckoo Clocks have their origin. We cross by Titisee, a beautiful pedestrian village located at the shores of a small glacier lake. As a cherry on the cake, we try the famous Black Forest Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte – Germany's specialty cake from this area.
